The 5/16” (larger series) slot extrusion, is mainly used for the life sized and oversized animatronic characters. Not only does it give the stability required for these applications, but it also offers a wider selection of brackets and attachments. We suggest this series of extrusions be used on the lower part of the assembly, whenever multiple movements will be used on the upper half. This method eliminates vibration of the character when motions are somewhat radical.

The 1/4" (smaller series) slot extrusion, is mainly used for smaller animatronic characters up to 2 or 3 feet tall. This extrusion is also commonly used for arm assemblies on life sized characters. Its light weight features makes it perfect for creating as many as 4 motions in an arm. We offer many cylinder brackets and hinges specifically designed to fit the smaller air cylinders for these applications.
